Turning AI awareness into practical capability through Digi-Ignite, AI Ascend and enterprise AI enablement.

The Context
At Banglalink, AI enablement needed to connect new digital tools with the everyday work of different employee populations.
The Challenge
Banglalink transitioned from a core telco to a digital service operator, which required upskilling existing resources and developing both AI technical and strategic knowledge. This aligned with the VEON AI 1440 vision.
My Role
As Talent Management Senior Manager, I led AI-focused initiatives including AI Ascend and Digi-Ignite, working with colleagues to connect learning with workforce capability.
The Approach
- Introduced an AI library and an AI microsite for solving AI challenges.
- Collaborated with industry AI experts, facilitating sessions open to all employees.
- Tracked and assigned the right AI tools and licences for each team.
What Changed
AI Ascend, Digi-Ignite and related enterprise AI initiatives built AI awareness and practical capability across 900+ employees. The work brought AI capability into the organisation’s talent development agenda.
What I Learned
Every role requires AI champions to drive role-based transformations. AI adoption requires a structured approach catering to individual needs.
